Welcome to the 2009-2010 School Year!

Northwest Guilford High School is located in Greensboro, NC in Northwest Guilford County.  There are five choirs in the Choral Music program and they perform regularly in the community, statewide, nationally, and internationally.  They have a rich history of excellence and regularly earn the rating of superior at state choral festivals in the areas of repertoire and sightsinging.  The choirs recently earned three more superiors at state festival two weeks ago.  Many students are involved in the program and choose to continue their study of music well past high school.

Our final performance of the year is the Spring Concert on May 25 at 7 pm in the NW Auditorium.  We will perform music from our New York concert as well as show tunes, popular tunes, and student favorites.  Students need to be in place at 6 pm for a rehearsal.  At the conclusion of this concert we will have a brief awards ceremony to congratulate students on their achievements this school year in choral music.   Following this we will have our annual Senior Night where we will recognize the class of 2010 and their families.  Please don’t miss this special night!

All students will sing at graduation.  Underclassmen should meet in front of the Special Events Center at 7:30 pm. 

At this time, tuxedoes are due back.  Senior ladies may return their dresses for resale at this time.  Please see the May/June newsletter for details on both of these items.
